Celebrating the music of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, spanning twelve albums across thirty seven years, Taste The Pain are an exciting tribute act to the titans of LA Funk Rock.

Foregoing the studio recordings, and instead taking the Chillies’ legendary live performances and jams as their inspiration, you can expect an energetic and wild show that reflects the manic musicality and intense ear-pounding sound of the Chillies at their live peak!

aste The Pain was formed in Cork by four musicians who were studying music in college together. We are all lifelong, die-hard fans of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Having played together for a while, in a number of different projects, we made the decision to celebrate our love of the Chillies by forming our tribute band.

The next step was simple. Live, eat, sleep and breathe Red Hot Chili Peppers. Hours and hours were spent researching, studying and comparing different live versions of their hits, which we felt were more spontaneous and exciting. We also studied the equipment (instruments, amps, pedals etc.) they use currently, or have used in the past, and use the same ourselves. We then worked tirelessly to replicate these songs as closely as possible. We want our shows to be as close as you can get to the real deal, right down to the last note.

We are professional musicians, we understand the vital energy that must be shared between the band and the audience. Our energy, just like the real Chili Peppers, is love, light and fun. We want you to dance, sing along, share our love for, and enjoy the classic songs of one of the most popular bands of all time, the Red Hot Chili Peppers!
