“About Eighteen months ago I was asked if I’d heard “the boy” singing in the Rocking Chair Bar in Derry, the answer was no, who is he and is he any good? A few months later and after hearing a lot of good reports about “the new boy” as he was now known, I went along to hear this new singing sensation who was packing the crowds in wherever he played and I am delighted to say I was not disappointed. He was brilliant, and at the end of the first night he had the audience calling for more. For the first time in years we had the chance to see a professional cabaret act, someone who had worked hard rehearsing his act, getting the detail right, picking the songs and knowing how to get an audience on his side, Dougie “Frank Sinatra” Breslin had arrived.
